Common Questions

What’s the difference between USB-C and Thunderbolt?

Both use the same USB-C physical connector, but Thunderbolt is a more advanced protocol. Thunderbolt 3 and 4 support up to 40Gbps data transfer, dual 4K display output, and daisy-chaining multiple devices. All Thunderbolt cables work as USB-C cables, but not all USB-C cables support Thunderbolt speeds. If you need the fastest data transfer or plan to connect external GPUs and high-resolution displays, go with Thunderbolt.

Can I use a 100W charger on my phone?

Yes, absolutely. USB-C Power Delivery is a smart protocol that negotiates the correct wattage between the charger and your device automatically. Your phone will only draw the power it needs, regardless of the charger’s maximum output. A 100W charger will safely charge your phone at its supported wattage (typically 20-30W) without any risk of damage.

How do I know which cable supports fast charging?

Look for “PD” (Power Delivery) in the product name or specifications. Our product pages list the exact wattage each cable supports. For fast charging phones, you need at least 20W PD. For laptops, look for 65W or 100W PD cables. The cable and charger both need to support the required wattage for fast charging to work.

Do your cables support data transfer?

Yes. All our cables support both charging and data transfer simultaneously. The speed depends on the cable specification: USB 2.0 supports 480Mbps, USB 3.2 supports up to 10Gbps, and USB4/Thunderbolt 4 supports up to 40Gbps. Check the product page for the specific data transfer speed of each cable.

What if my device doesn’t have USB-C?

We have you covered with a range of adapters and hubs. USB-C to USB-A adapters let you connect to older ports. Our multi-port hubs add USB-A, HDMI, SD card, and Ethernet ports to any USB-C device. Docking stations provide a full desktop setup through a single USB-C connection. Browse our Adapters and Hubs collections to find the right solution.

How long do your cables last?

Our cables are rated for 10,000+ bend cycles, which translates to years of daily use. Braided nylon cables are even more durable and resist tangling. All cables feature reinforced stress points at the connectors where most cables fail. Every cable carries our 2-year warranty, so if anything goes wrong during normal use, we’ll replace it.
